Sodium Stearyl Fumarate Ph. Eur., NF, JPE, FCC
Sodium Stearyl Fumarate is a highly efficient lubricant. It significantly reduces the risk of over lubrication. This results in tablets with improved disintegration and dissolution, harder tablets and better active ingredient stability. It can be used in all tablet formulations including chewables. SSF also minimizes film formation in effervescent tablets. Sodium Stearyl Fumarate is less hydrophobic than magnesium stearate and avoids many problems caused by the bivalent magnesium cation. e.g. Azathioprin, Cefaclor, Clarithromycin, Clopidogrelacetate, Diclofenac, Fosinopril, Ibuprofen, Ketorolac, Levofloxacin, Nifedipine, Omeprazol, Ramipril, Trandolapril.
